Quality time with your church family

It has been great kicking off HBC:City together!
We are so excited to meet new people and build relationships together.
This year we’re having a City Weekend In. It’s going to be a fantastic time to deepen our love for each other and for Jesus, who brings us together.

Here’s what we’ve got in store…
Friday Night @ HBC City
Come from 5:30pm for a relaxed dinner as a whole church family, plus a stack of kid-friendly activities and time to hang out to get know each other better. Why not stick around after the kids have gone to bed to play some board games, craft to your hearts delight or even barrack for your favourite footy team.

Saturday @ Tocal Agricultural College
A morning full of Bible, singing, prayer and food to deepen our connection with God, and each other. There will be a full kids program alongside the morning, so bring the whole fam!
After lunch, there will be plenty of free time to hang out at Tocal and the surrounds, or to get the kids some rest if they need it before having afternoon tea and getting ready for the first inaugural City Talent Show! Dust off the instruments, create the skits, it’s your time to shine!
We'll wrap up with a relaxed early dinner and hangs to celebrate the fun that has been had.

Sunday @ HBC City
Finish the weekend off with church together at 4pm.

Come and spend extended time with your City church family.

You won't want to miss out on this weekend of fun and fellowship.

FAQs

What will we be looking at?

-       This year at City Weekend In we’ll be digging into the bible to see what God has to say about family.

What should my youth kid do on Friday?

-        Bring them to dinner! Then you can drop them off at youth for 7pm. While they’re at youth, you can continue hanging out at the City. Why not organise a carpool with some other parents?

Will there be a place for my kids to rest on Saturday?

-        There will be multiple quiet spaces for kids on the Saturday afternoon. One room for quiet and rest, and one room for a kids movie.

Can I come for part of the weekend?

-        We’d love you to come for the whole time! We reckon this is the best way to get the most out of the weekend – quantity and quality time together. But there are options on the rego form for those who can’t be there for both Friday night and Saturday.

What will the kids program look like?

-        There’ll be a full kids program for the entire morning. It will cover Creche to year 5, just like Sunday kids church. Check-in from 9:15 for a full morning of bible talks, craft, games and fun. Morning tea will be provided for U5s and K-5. Check-out will be when the adults session finishes at 12:45.

Do I need to bring anything?

-        On Saturday, bring your Bibles, any free-time activities you might want to share eg board games, craft, cricket bat, or anything you might need for free-time like a hat.

What’s the go with food?

-        Food will be provided for both Friday and Saturday, including for dietary requirements (if you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch). If you have a little one that you want to bring food for, there is an option to select ‘no food provided’ on the rego form.

At the heart of the Christian faith lies the resounding truth that on the third day Jesus Christ rose from the dead. But can such a miracle really be true? And what does Christ's resurrection really mean for our bodies, our future, and our eternity? Join us at MYC as we look deeply into what the Bible says about life and death, the resurrection of Jesus, and the hope of our own resurrection.
